Description
Perennial Yellow Coneflowers attract native pollinators throughout the summer, and its seeds are sought by birds in the late Fall. While driving the back roads of Madison County in Iowa, I came over a hill and found acres and acres of these beautiful flowers! A sea of yellow! The height of this variety of coneflower (Pinnate Prairie) is usually between 2 to 5 feet tall. In this instance, the seeds are harvested in the Fall to be sold. Coneflowers are also used for roadside plantings, in parks, prairie restorations, and wildlife food and cover.
This would make an amazing puzzle, mug, or greeting card, in addition to wall art. Please visit lindabrittain.pixels.com for many other gift and home decor suggestions.
